My Story

Born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta, I grew up with a passion for dance and art.  I remember taking every art class offered by my highschool and was in a dance company from the age of 3 all the way through highschool.  During college at Georgia College & State University (GSCU), I met my now husband (Brandon) on my move-in day of Freshman year.  We shortly became inseparable and married on our 7-year dating anniversary, November 8, 2014 (pic here and here).  As college progressed, I became much more of a business oriented person, coming out of school with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2011 and my Masters of Accountancy in 2012.  Needless to say, I went in a totally different direction than my creative roots.

To this day I sincerely enjoy my job, mainly due to the specific Atlanta-based accounting firm I have been with now for almost 4 years.  A unique, family-like culture and genuine care for their employees makes me thankful each and every day for the stability my firm provides.  That being said, I do miss being creative on a daily basis and being able to “let myself go” in dancing, painting, or decorating.

This blog is my attempt at bringing that portion of my life back into focus and conveying the joy and peace creating, crafting, and decorating (with my own twist of personality and fashion, of course) bring to my life.  I sincerely hope you can enjoy this journey with me!
